How the Season Pool Works

Businesses and families fund a season pool before games launch. Every time a player earns a GiveBounty in a child-made game, it counts toward their chosen cause. At season close, the pool splits based on those counts.

Where the Money Goes

100% of pool donations reach the chosen charities. GiveBounty Games covers its costs through program fees and direct support — we never take a cut from the pool. Part of every tuition also goes directly into the pool.

We deliberately choose hyper-local Fort Worth organizations that don't have national marketing budgets or celebrity donors. A child's game might be the most attention they get all year.

Why give to the season pool?

The organizations we support are small, local, and easy to overlook. Putting money in the pool means backing a cause chosen by a Fort Worth child.

These games were built to demonstrate what the program produces. Real child-made games ship after the May 2026 pilot.

Games go live after May 30, 2026

Six children will build and ship their own games at Fairmount Community Library. Each one picks a hyper-local Fort Worth cause, designs their hero, and ships a real game. Every play session earns GiveBounties. At season close, 70% of the pool splits equally across all causes and 30% goes to the cause whose game earned the most GiveBounties.

Why give to the season pool?

When you put money in the pool, 70% reaches every cause equally and 30% goes to the cause whose game earned the most GiveBounties. You're not just donating — you're letting the community decide where the extra support lands, one play session at a time. Part of every program tuition also goes directly into the pool.

We deliberately choose hyper-local organizations that don't have national marketing budgets or celebrity donors. A child's game might be the most attention they get all year.

Support GiveBounty Games

Families pay to participate, but running the program still costs money: technology, tools, materials, and the work of making every session great. Direct support helps us keep doing it.

GiveBounty Games is a Fort Worth nonprofit 501(c)(3) in formation. Every dollar supports the program directly. None of it touches the charity pool.
